Technical Visit

The abundant industrial water and stable power supply in Toyama Prefecture have helped the aluminum industry develop in Toyama since the 1930s.
The YKK Group is one of the major aluminum companies in Toyama Prefecture, and with their cooperation, we have planned the below visit.

*Please note that the Technical Visit is on a first-come, first-served basis, so there is a possibility that you may not be able to participate if the number of participants exceeds the capacity.

Cost |  1,000JPY/person *English guide and bus transportation provided.

Note: Applicants must take a PCR test within 72 hours prior to this visit. The testing method and the location will be provided in advance.
*The conference will afford the fee of this PCR test, therefore participants do not have to pay when taking the test.

Please note that the technical visit might get cancelled due to COVID-19.
The registration for the Technical Visit is by pre-registration only, and the fee must be paid in cash at the reception on the day of the visit.

They will introduce the YKK Group's manufacturing technology and history, as well as the management principle and life of its founder, Tadao Yoshida.

 

 

②Kurobe Plant

The birthplace of the  architectural products business and core base for manufacturing aluminum materials

 

 

③Passive Town

Sustainable urban development through local production for local consumption of energy, by looking ahead to the carbon-neutral society. “Passive design" which maximizes the use of Kurobe's abundant nature and environment, contributes to realizing a comfortable living environment.
